Mobile Banking Applications: Implementing WAP Billing

The wireless application protocol, commonly known as WAP, is a free, worldwide standard that allows mobile tools such as smartphones, iPhones, and laptops to gain Internet connection while becoming compatible with large carriers. The ability to authorize transactions allows WAP to override the recent implementation of mobile banking applications via two-way messaging (SMS).

The WAP billing process works through WML (Wireless Markup Language), an HTML customization for building wireless applications through third-party platforms. In the standard WAP billing process, data packets connected to wireless devices travel over wireless networks in WML configurations to the WAP gateway / server. The most important part of the data becomes configured and transferred to a more common HTML server that supports HTML. The WAP solutions described are usually in two parts:
